About Us: How We Review Australian Online Casinos

Sunlit Sydney home office with editorial notes on casino terms.

Every casino review site says you can trust it. Few explain what that actually means. Here is what it means at Find Best Odds.

Who we are

Find Best Odds is an independent review publication covering online casinos and wagering operators for Australian readers. The editorial team consists of writers and researchers with direct experience of the Australian gambling market: how it is regulated, who regulates it, and what the fine print in a terms-and-conditions page actually does to your withdrawal.

We write for readers, not operators. That is not a slogan — it shapes how the site is funded, which we explain below, because you should always check who pays before you decide what to believe.

How we evaluate operators

Every casino is assessed against the same criteria, in the same order. Nothing is skipped because an operator asks nicely or pays well.

  1. Licensing and legal status. We check which licence an operator actually holds, and we are explicit about what that licence does and does not cover. A Curacao eGaming licence or a Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) licence is a real licence — but it does not authorise an operator to serve customers in Australia. The Interactive Gambling Act 2001 governs what is lawful here, and the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) is the regulator that enforces it. No operator is described as “ACMA-licensed”, because ACMA does not license casinos — it investigates and blocks illegal services. We do not blur that line.
  2. Ownership and background. Who runs the casino, what else they run, and whether they have a history of unpaid complaints or regulator action.
  3. Withdrawal reality. Not the advertised processing time, but what players report: verification delays, account closures after a win, and caps on payouts.
  4. Terms and conditions. We read them. Bonus wagering requirements, excluded payment methods and dormant-account fees are listed in plain language, not buried.
  5. Game fairness and certification. Independent testing of random number generators, and published payout information where it exists.

Scores reflect these criteria. An operator’s commercial relationship with us never changes a rating.

How Find Best Odds makes money

Plainly: some links on this site are affiliate links. If you open an account with an operator through one of them, Find Best Odds may receive a commission from that operator.

Two things follow from this. First, this is a conflict of interest, and you are entitled to know about it before you use our reviews. Second, commissions do not influence rankings — but you should not have to take our word for that, which is why the criteria above are published in full. We do not accept payment for placement, we do not sell positive reviews, and we do not promote sign-up bonuses, deposit matches or any other inducement to open a betting account, since inducements of that kind are restricted for Australian consumers.

How we keep information current

Reviews are revisited on a rolling basis — when an operator changes its terms, its licence status, or its complaint record, and on a regular schedule regardless. Materials that describe the current state of the market carry an update date: Updated: 8 October 2026. Corrections are made openly, not silently.

A note on gambling

Gambling carries a real risk of harm, and no casino review should pretend otherwise. If gambling is affecting your finances, relationships or wellbeing, support is available. BetStop, the National Self-Exclusion Register, lets you exclude yourself from all licensed Australian wagering operators in one step. Free, confidential counselling is available 24/7 at 1800 858 858.

If you spot an error or disagree with an assessment, write to [email protected]. We read it, and where warranted, we change what we publish.
